My Year with Helen
When Gaylene Preston began filming Helen Clark, she didn’t know that she would document one of the most important election campaigns of this politician’s life.
A prankster father tries to help his workaholic daughter. The characters are refreshingly odd and the situations are awkward as hell. I loved it.
I found it refreshing to see a film that explored important social issues so gently and with a lot of humour along the way.
Florence Foster Jenkins
While I laughed at her musical butcherings of opera classics, I admired her guts and passion.
